# Can the Old RMC200 perform EtherCAT?

I have an RMC200 Controller that was released before the ECAT module. It has an I/O Comm in the NO.2 slot of B15. The firmware of B15 is 1.05A, the firmware of cpu40 is 1.19.0A, more information is shown in the figure.  
Now I want to use EtherCAT , can this controller use the EACT module?

Yes, all RMC200s support the ECAT module! All you need to do is update the RMC200 CPU firmware, which is readily available from the Downloads section of [deltamotion.com](https://deltamotion.com).

All RMC200 bases were made to support high-speed communications between the CPU and slot 2, which is the slot that supports the ECAT module.
