The entire project (the image) in the RMC75 and RMC150 can be uploaded from the RMC and saved to a file, or saved as data in a PLC. This image can then be downloaded later. This is useful in cases where the PLC needs to control the contents of the RMC. One example is when replacing RMC hardware with a spare. The PLC can simply write the image to the RMC, without anyone needing to use RMCTools. Reading and writing the image is explained in detail in the RMCTools help.
Attached is an example of reading and writing the image with a ControlLogix PLC. The same method should also work with the CompactLogix and SLC.
