Pressure Transducers

For high-performance motion control, pressure transducers need to have fast response, on the order of 1 msec or less.

Ashcroft
Ashcroft offers many transducers.

When specifying Rexroth pressure transducers, be particularly careful about something the manufacturer calls “Component Series”. Series 1X and 2X are both available for order (at the time of this post), however the 2X Series is intended to supersede the 1X. When I took the HM20’s 1X data sheet to Delta, the engineers discovered a notation about resolution, which is described as 11-bit. Nobody I’ve talked to has yet determined why or when a A/D - D/A converter was ever put into the transducer. The data sheet for Component Series 2X has no such notation, and was described by a Rexroth engineer as having no digital conversion. In short, a 1X may work, but be vigilant and suspicious.
