I want to choose a data acquisition device that supports Ethercat to use with RMC200, and merge the cylinder motion data with the data collected by this device through Ethercat communication.
Does this device support COE(canopen over ethercat) so it can communicate with RMC200’s Ecat? Is there anything else to pay attention to?
Are there any third-party data acquisition devices that can be recommended?
There are a number of EtherCAT I/O Sub-Devices that would work. The RMC ECAT module does not support Main Device-to-Main Device communications, and we have no plans to support this mode in the future. That removes many EtherCAT DAQ devices, as many of those are configured as ECAT Main Devices. Most of the third-party sensors Delta has tested are industrial measurement devices such as Balluff and Temposonics magnetostrictive position sensors and rotary encoders.
If you have specific input Sub-Devices you are considering, feel free to send a datasheet or a part number to our support email address.
