Delta Motion has tested the following encoders with EtherCAT:

Posital IXARC
Delta has tested part number OCD-EC00B-1216-C100-PRM, an absolute multi-turn rotary encoder.

  • Easy to set up with EtherCAT in RMCTools.
  • ESI file: available on the products webpage, referred to as “Configuration File”.
  • DC Sync: ssupported
  • PDO: Provides a single non-editable PDO with one data item, the position value (0x6004:00).
  • No Transducer Index: No option for specifying a No Transducer Index. However, an associated axis will automatically set the No Transducer bit if the EtherCAT data is flagged as invalid.
