When the axis type is “Velocity” Gain calculator can not be used.
Hydraulic motor is controled by a high performance proportional valve in our project.
Because the speed acc of hydraulic motor is 0.2%FS,I would like to get the pretty PID para.
Is there another way?
I appreciate it!
Yes, that is correct; if the axis is a velocity control axis, the Tuning Wizard does not work. The manual tuning process will need to be used, and it is very similar to the Position manual tuning process.
You will want to send velocity commands to the axis to move it in the forward direction and the reverse direction. Then you will want to adjust the each tuning parameter one at a time, moving the axis and watching the plots to see how the tuning changes improve the target tracking. The Help has the complete procedure with plot examples.
What are you using for feedback on this system? Is it a tachometer? Or is it a rotary encoder, and the speed is calculated?
We have a HALL-DREHZ-SENSOR HDD2L16PA/20 speed sensor made by Rexroth in our system. The feedback is the square wave signal,so the speed is calculated.
So manual tuning is not easy for me.
Then we will change our hydraulic system. We will add a extra rotary encoder in our system.
Do you have any other suggestions?
I’m thankful!
