How to Run DCSMon on 64 bit Windows

To run DCSMON on Windows 7 and newer, you will need to use a DOS emulator. DOSBox is a free, open source program that works well with a variety of old DOS programs.

  1. Install DosBox from http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1
  2. Create a folder C:\DOS
  3. Place the DCSMON directory in C:\DOS
  4. Modify DOSBox configuration (Start Menu->DOSBox Options)

            In the [serial] section

serial1=directserial realport:COM1

            in the [autoexec] section

mount C C:\DOS
  1. Save and close the configuration file
  2. Run DOSBox
  3. Type the following commands:
C:
cd DCSMON
DCSMON
