Hi,
It would be useful to add identification of action numbers and line numbers within user program steps and custom functions. As the programming becomes large and complex, this feature would help speed up troubleshooting. While the search tool identifies action numbers and lines, there is no identification within the user program steps or custom functions.
Thanks
Jean-Francois,
We are considering the following solution: when in the Expression Editor, the RMCTools status bar (at the very bottom of RMCTools that currently includes ‘For Help press F1’ and ‘CAP, NUM, SCRL’) will display the current action number and line number. When editing a user function, the status bar will display only the line number.
Would this be sufficient? The other main option is to show the line numbers in the editor itself, but it would be challenging to list the action number that way. The status bar can do both easily.
That makes sense to me. It’s enough and will be very helpful when troubleshooting large programs.
Thanks
