The first part of this link down to eq13 is the derivation of the VCCM equation. The middle part is turning the VCCM equation into a differential equation so the maximum acceleration rate can be calculated. The last part is the plotting with actual numbers. The numbers I used are from one of our hydraulic test systems.

It takes a bit of study to work through all the math.
