I need to set up a position axis on an hydraulic cylinder with a linear transducer. The extend and retract functions are split between two separate proportional valves. Each valve has a build-in amplifier that only accepts a 0-10V signal. Is there a way to spread axis control across two outputs on a RMC200 CV8 module? I only see an option for one output per control axis when setting up a new axis.
One possible method is to use an Outer Loop axis as the main axis, and two Output-only axes. An Outer Loop axis is just like a normal axis, but has not physical Control Output. You would then create a user program that continuously takes the software Control Output of the Outer Loop axis and sends it to the desired Output-only axis.
