Attached is an Excel spreadsheet with for calculating the max velocity, acceleration, and force of a sinusoidal waveform motion, given the frequency and amplitude. These formulas are useful in determining whether a cyclic testing application is feasible.

We just worked on an application where the sinusoidal motion was vertical rather than horizontal. This template still works very well; you just need to add 9.8 m/s^2 to the acceleration in the cell D13 equation to calculate the force.
